I was looking for an inexpensive hotel in Merida and checked in to the Flamingo. I really wanted to like the place. The staff was friendly, good location, etc. Although it looks very worn around the edges, my room appeared clean. We saw this hotel advertised in The Rough Guide to Mexico. The hotel was practically empty yet we appeared to be given their worst room. --- I am writing about this hotel mainly as it was recommended to me by tourist information in Merida bus station. I can't imagine why.
