Wandered in here off the street. Everything seemed good. Beautiful courtyard, high ceilings, internet. Even free parking (Merida is not car friendly). But whatever it may look like doesn't really matter, because there are GIANT roaches in the room. I paid for the room first and once we saw the roaches the night manager told me "well, you paid already.... more

I had reservations for three nights at the Hotel Oviedo in Merida, prepaid through Expedia. We arrived at the hotel and it looked nice enough from the street in the dark...then we tried to check in and everything went downhill from there.
