My husband and I read about Paa Mul in our Lonely Planet guide book and decided to go check it out. Cabanas Paamul suffered a lot of damage after hurricanes Emily and Wilma. This review concerns the hotel in most part, not cabanas. Anyways we also got problem with direction, so please, read this. This new hotel is built between the cabanas and the sea, directly on the beach. You’ll find there a restaurant, a pretty beach, a diving center and a snorking “area”. $120 / night, breakfast isn’t included. What we liked... more
Playa del Carmen is a wonderful little town with great restaurants, very friendly and accomodating people from all over the world. I would love to retire there and am hoping to have a house there sometime soon. Paamul is about a 15 minute drive south and is a wonderful place to snorkel and spend the day.
