Second time in Mexico and probably not the last , riu playacar is a fantastically well run hotel with superb standard of food , and cleanliness which was so expertly carried out , that it just goes to show why so many people prefer riu hotels. sadly our only complaint is that Thomson holidays promised us a superb tropical Caribbean... more

We just arrived back home after 7 days and nights (6-28-08 to 7-5-08) at the Riu Playacar Resort in Playa Del Carmen. We were 8 adults, 4 over the age orf 40 and 4 in early 20's. This resort was very comfortable. Food was excellent and beach was wonderful, even though alot of it was eroded. It was still plentiful.... more
