We read all the reviews, looked at all the pictures, checked out neighboring resorts, and despite some trepidation, opted for Villa #1 (Romance Suite) and the beautiful azure blue and green Carribean Sea. We absolutely made the right choice. It was expensive, but you can travel the world over and only find a handful of places this private and this... more

I just returned from my sixth stay at Azulik. There isn't too much I can add to all the reviews from previous years. This year I stayed in Villa #2. I was there three nights before moving next door to Cabanas Copal's Casita. Upon my arrival at Azulik I was met by the manager MiguelAngel, who remembered me from last... more

At first I was a little skeptical about there being no energy.. But after a while you get used to the tranquility.. I haven't felt that relaxed in a long time. The people at the hotel were so nice, the food was excellent . I really don't have anything bad to say. Everything was perfect. more

After reading reviews here, I felt prepared to enjoy Azulik; I took a sheet for the outdoor bed, figuring I would be fine with the 'rough sheets' as I have had low thread count sheets many a time; I also took bug spray (didn't need it at all) and steeled myself for the worst. My first impressions were quite favorable.... more

I echo the most recent comments of Azulik-it looks terrific on their website, but I am never been so thankful to leave a hotel. I feel a bit like the ugly American in my review, but for the price for the resort-it leaves alot to be desired. 1. I like to run in the mornings and there is really no... more

Azulik has been a very upsetting experience. It is supposed to be a “paradise”. It is a decent place, but nothing more than that and for sure not worth the price. The complain is not about being without electricity or amenities since that is what I expected. The negative part was: dirty, uncomfortable bed, dirty and and abrasive towels, water... more

With only one day’s notice and planning, my wife and I visited the Eco Tulum resorts in Mexico. Due to the last minute booking we stayed the first night in Copal and the next 3 nights in the adult only Azulik next door. They share the same beach and most of the staff. General Description: Copal and Azulik are clothing... more

Besides the amazing landscape that surrounds, the three days we spent in Azulik transported us to another world. At first, I hesitated about staying without electricity, but once we were there, I realized that this feature turned Azulik into a very special place. Off course I had times where I missed having the electric light we are used to, but... more

After a year of intense work, I don't know how we would be feeling today if we hadn't visited Azulik. We got there exhausted an experienced a complete turn around. What we enjoyed the most was staying at one 100% ecological place, without electricity, because it helped us reconnect with nature. We felt the pleasure of being together without anyone... more

We stayed at Azulik for our honeymoon and it was the best choice we ever made. I 100% recommend it if you are the right type of person. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and we only had hot water half of the time. Plus we were visited by several animals. By the way, no food in the room should... more
