This place is great for young people, especially as a stop during a backpacking trip. Positives: right on the beach, very 'primal' feel that makes you feel close to nature (something you would not get in a hotel), your own cabana with mosquito net beds, coconut trees everywhere (you can ask the staff to break the coconuts for you!), mellow... more

I travelled throughot Mexico and found the most pleasant, friendly people everywhere. EXCEPT Zazil Kin! The first thing that you meet there is an aggressive, smirking, ignorant [--] of a receptionist! Also, the place is largely overpriced. We have stayed in these cabanas (Cabana Chetumal) for 2 nights and really loved it! The beach is beautiful and very closeby. The cabana provides the basics: a bed, a musquito net and a fan which you can use in the evening and part of the night when electricity is provided. We didn't need the fan at all. Just open... more

Unbeatable location right amidst white sand dunes, only 10 minutes from the Tulum Ruins. The cabanas are rustic- but secure with locks, cement floors and cement fill.
