This is the most incredible beach, I almost didn't write a review, so as not to reveal the secret. The cabanas are right on the lovely beach, without many trourists around at all. Long walks, clear water and the Maya Tulum just down the beach has a fantastic restaurant (great view), especially for vegitarians. Also has daily yoga classes etc.... more

We recently spent 10 days in Mexico. After some research we decided on 5 nights in Tulum, 2 nights in Playa del Carmen followed by 3 nights in Cozumel. We had stayed in a very private and secluded resort in Fiji a couple of years ago and were hoping for a similar experience in Tulum. Here's what we found: The... more

The canbanas are on the most breathtaking beach ,aqua blue sea with dazzling white sand. It was a really intimate place but alas we had only booked for three days and seven at Bella e Vita which did not compare with Hemmingway. Our cabana was stunning really large and had two king size beds with bright Mexican decor. It was... more

I just got back from four nights at Hemingway where we enjoyed a relaxing girls weekend. It's a very charming, laid back place. The decor is beachy and rustic, with bright tropical colors, thatched roofs and Mexican-inspired fabrics and prints. The cabanas have thatched roofs, tile floors, mosquito nets over the beds, and an open shower/bathroom. There are hammocks and... more

Stay at Hemingway Resort. The beach is so beautiful and peaceful. The cabanas are rustic and romantic. We stayed ocean front in the Buho cabana and it met our needs perfectly. Hot water was a little hard to come by, but it was clean, the decor darling, and watching the sun rise over the water from bed every morning was... more

When we first arrived everything was quiet and the beach was calm. We settled in at 10 pm and the power went off shortly after -- thats when the fireworks started. A bus full of drunken men showed up screaming and yelling and carrying on. Glass shattered over, and over again as we heard shots of "Falvo! Ed! Falvo!" Followed... more

This place is not worth the money. We arrived late afternoon to find the office closed and the one staff member we managed to locate wandering around the premises didn't know anything about our arrival. So of course we were given the worst room. For a place with only 10 rooms I expect them to at least know someone was... more

Upon a recent vacation to Mexico, I booked a reservation with “LocoGringo.com”. Their website and description of a hotel did not match the services received upon our arrival. The room had fecal matter in the waste basket when we arrived, the room smelled of sewage and there was a loud generator as well as a very noisy party adjacent to... more

We have just come back from 6 nights at Hemingway. Although we couldn't fault the setting or the food, don't come here expecting value for money (its the opposite), nor particularly attentive service. If you are in any way reticent about asking for what you want, whether that is a beer, breakfast or to be served some food, this isn't... more

Hemingway is located in a beautiful beach, well equipped, with lovely double-sunbeds and hammocks. Beach is very quiet and never crowded.I'll never forget the incredible sun rises from my veranda with the beach completely deserted. Paola cooks deliciously, specially pasta and fresh fish. It's the best restaurant we have eaten in all Tulum. Rooms are simple with a wonderful view.... more
