me and my wife, we just spend our honeymoon at coqui coqui, a small little homy place on the beautiful beach of tulum. I cannot understand some of the reviews that people posted about this place, because we have never been treated so well in all our trips. do not expect air conditioning and a concierge every corner as this... more

The location is gorgeous [but then you are in Tulum] but it really is too expensive for what you get. Having said that there is very little alternative if you don't want a glorified beach hut or all-inclusive package tour location. Although we were there nearly a year ago the problems appear to be the same . We also suffered... more

The place infrond of our hotel is a fantastic location. Its a dreaming place , the best part of the whole Quintana Roo beach!! And the less crowded. We had the Ocean Front room above the lobby .Its the closest room to the sea from all others hotels in the area !! The hotel itself is a very interesting stone... more

I had been in communication via email ith at least three different managers at Coqui Coqui for a March 2009 vacation. I had been reassured on numerous occasions that despite the fact that my credit card had not been charged the 50% deposit the room was reserved for me. As March is approaching I got a bit anxious and recontacted... more

Extremely overpriced and rated that is why the management asks for a 50% downpayment, otherwise most people would leave immediately after arriving. The management consistst of 2 hippie girls who couldn't care less aboout the wellbeing of the guests. No electricity, no ventilation and extemely humid in the rooms, a real mosquitoe plague attack you afer sunset. I would accept the... more

the hotel is beautiful and tasteful- simple and elegant, but NOT WORTH THE PRICE. The service was TERRIBLE. When we arrived we were brought to the wrong room, and then made to wait because it was still being cleaned. After we finally got in and unpacked, the woman came back up to tell us she was sorry but we were... more

We just returned from Tulum, and it was an incredible vacation. Coqui Coqui is a breathtaking property, and should absolutely be visited if you are looking for an aesthetically pleasing and relaxed atmosphere. (**Avoid Tulum, completely, if you are in the mood for late nights, loud bars, spring breakers and resort-style service and accommodations! I can't stress this enough!!**) The... more

We stayed at Coqui Coqui between 18th and 21st Feb. Pros The lobby and room were beautiful. The interior design/decoration gave a feel of serenity and relaxation. The very long bath tub made for a very relaxing time. My husband is 6"2 and felt for the first time that the bath tub was made for him! The beach is beautiful... more

We were excited to stay at Coqui Coqui because it looked small, beautiful and to be a special spot in Tulum. Understanding that there are always a few problems in Tulum, what we encountered at the hotel with the higest price in Tulum was astounding. The single largest complaint I have is that the rooms have ubelievably poor ventilation. The... more

This being our 6th trip to the Tulum area we were very excited to try Coqui Coqui. As this was a place we had often walked past and admired for it georgous facade. Unfortunately upon arriving we were faced with the fact that it is truly a facade. The rooms and lobby are beautifully decorated but the physical beauty did... more
