Our stay at Teetotum was a complete pleasure Every day, there was quiet hip music playing, delicious breakfast and lunches, gracious staff, and immaculately clean rooms. Its near enough to the center of Tulum town to be convenient for shopping, and the Tulum Ruins are about a mile up the road.; the beach is a bike ride away. Thanks for... more

I absolutely loved Tulum and loved my two-night stay at the Teetotum! It was the perfect way to cap off 5 wonderful nights in Tulum. I'd spent the 3 nights prior at Las Ranitas down at the beach, which I loved loved loved, but crazy as it may sound, the sound of the waves and wind made it hard to... more

Recently, while vacationing in Cancun, we decided to travel off the overcrowded tourist path and explore the surrounding areas. We came upon the charming town of Tulum and were so drawn in we decided to take a vacation from our vacation and spend the night in Tulum. The Teetotum Hotel was recommended and they were able to accomodate us even... more

Just returned from 4 nights at the Teetotum. Like Tulum itself, this place is a long way from anything you would find in Cancun, in a good way. Great food, great layout, great staff. The minimalist/chic aesthetic is hip and comfortable, but it's not 'luxury'. For those looking for high water pressure, Tulum is the wrong destination. We'll be back. more

Just got back from our 8 night stay at Teetotum in Tulum. It was great! The people who have written poor reviews need to understand that Tulum is a VERY small town on the coast and shouldn't expect a "luxury resort" or all-inclusive feel. If you want that, you should stick to Playa Del Carmen or Cancun. Tulum is a... more

I took my girlfiend here for a romantic getaway and to propose to her. My goal for us to stay in a chic hotel, with a pool where we could eat on site. The owners and staff were very accomodating to ensure a romantic holiday full of surprises. A big thank you to the owners, Richard and Karen! We will... more

This hotel described itself as a "luxury boutique hotel”. ABSOLUTELY FALSE! It was “Economy” at best. We were booked for 4 nights, but left after only 1. There was no water pressure for the shower, and the toilet was disgusting. There was a sewer odor that seeped from the bathroom, and the toilets would not properly flush. The hotel did... more

The website for this hotel sure gave us a different impression than what we found in reality. Our entire family (8 adults and 4 kids) planned a 4 room 4 night stay in Tulum and we were really looking forward to the hotel that was portrayed on the internet. We had just come from the Barcelo Mayan Palace-which was beautiful-and... more

What a super place! Our room was clean, chic and comfortable. It even came equipped with an ipod deck. Given that they are a boutique hotel, there are only four rooms. This made for a quiet stay and the few guests we happened to interact with were lovely. The common area is stylish and inviting; I felt totally at ease,... more

Perfect for what we were looking for: a place close to the beach & town NOT in an area swarmed with tourists. Teetotum's food was fairly priced, fresh and locally inspired;decor is beautiful, global, clever & fun both in the rooms & common areas; good quality linens & toiletries; atmosphere couldn't be more relaxing. The staff is professional, friendly without... more
