My brother and me and our partners wanted to celebrate my parent's 60th birthdays with a stay where we could relax in beautiful sorroundings, go for hikes in nature, dive, snorkel, eat good food and see historical sites. After searching the Internet for a long time we found Tulum - and La Via Laktea. It looked like Paradise. And we... more

My Husband & I stayed at La Via Laktea for one week and were mostly satisfied with the experience. The good things about La Via Laktea: • It has an exquisite beach, privacy, peace & quiet. • The room is large with a king-size bed, and the balcony was great for my husband who can take or leave the sun.... more

We spent two nights at Via Laktea and wished we could have stayed a lifetime. We had booked the garden-view 2nd floor room (much more affordable than the ocean-view rooms), but learned upon arrival that it was not available. So they upgraded us to the beachfront central cabin, which was amazing. Via Laktea is on the far south part of... more

The view from our second floor ocean front room was spectacular and the beach here lovely. The room was clean and nice (except that the shower isn't made well and makes a lake on the floor with each use and one of the lights didn't work even after they fixed it). Bed comfortable. But the owners are very unprofessional. They... more

Stayed a total of 4 nights at La Via Laktea with my boyfriend. We had a second floor seaview room which was amazing. The hotel has a total of 8 rooms/4 cabanas on the remote and quiet end of the beach in Tulum. Our room was very large with a big balcony overlooking palm trees and the Caribbean Sea and... more

We were all very pleased with our stay at La Via Laktea. We included two adults and a child. We would like to thank the owner Bamboo, for her genuine hospitality and generosity, which contributed to our wonderful vacation in Tulum. We were also introduced to a friend of Bamboo visiting at the time who was also wonderful to meet.... more

My girlfriend and I had an amazing week relaxing at Via Laktea, it was a perfect romantic escape from city life. The beaches are gorgeous, clean and had very few tourists. At night you can sit in the sand and count the shooting stars whizzing by. The jungle atmosphere surrounding the cabanas is lush and beautiful and the rooms are... more

Our stay here was everything we hoped for and more. You just can't even describe the beautiful rooms, perfect beach and blue waters. The jungle, eco atmosphere right on the beach is everything you would ever want in a true beach getaway. The Luxury Cabanas are exactly that. We have been going to Tulum for over 5 years now and... more

We stayed in a seaview cabana of Via Laktea for 10 nights. The cabana was very nice. We agree with the previous review about the sheets and towels, which got changed only once after we had to complain. We agreed with the owners to have a cooked breakfast and have dinner there one night, we even agreed the price but... more

I have been visiting Tulum for the past 6 years and am always eager to try new places. A friend recommended La Via Laktea so I booked a trip. I tried to book direct with the owner but did not hear back so I went though Loco Gringo. The rates seemed a bit steep, but I also took into account... more
