We stayed one night in this wonderful hotel and felt like royalty. Our room was amazing-huge, with an octagonal area for the bed. (room 228, 227 was huge too) As in all heritage hotels though you can get a not so good room as the sizes are not uniform. The food was good, but not overly hot-buffet lunch and tandoori... more

we had the maharajah's room, i think, with archways and couches, very large. The staff were very pleasant and the nightly entertainment was good,. Food was lovely but could have been more of it . Also the wine was very expensive. . I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. more

This is a good old Rajputana Haveli (actually big enough to be called as a Mahal) with an air of old Rajasthani charm. I fell in love with the large beautiful room, lovely pool side view from the window, beautiful dinning room/ restaurant and the feeling of living life of a raja. The problem with the property is that it... more

We stayed at Alsisar Mahal in October of this year, and it really was quite beautiful. A little off the beaten track, which was nice. They upgraded us to a suite when we arrived, and it really was magnificent! The big downfall here was the service. Very disorganized, much like it's sister hotel Alsisar Haveli in Jaipur. Also felt like... more

Alsisar Mahal is a good stop off point though a little in interiors of shekhawati. The hotel has a grand heritage architecture with antique style furnishings and some lovely decorative touches (my room had a beautiful window seat). The swimming pool area is beautiful & calm to attain piece of mind. There are several chill out areas with comfy day... more

The Alsisar Mahal has been recreated into an aesthetically beautiful environment. We journeyed to the Mahal for 2 nights stay having spent 2 nights at the Alsisar Haveli in Jaipur. On arrival they gave us a warm welcome and then a spectacular suite. We stayed in the royal suite, which provided an excellent view of the pool. It was truly... more

The Alsisar Mahal is not actually in Jaipur as TA suggests but in Alsisar village about 200 km away from Jaipur in Shekhawati. It is an old palace converted to a hotel. We stayed in the rooms of the new wing which were very nicely done up. Really liked the courtyards, the main dining hall and the swimming pool. Very... more

We stayed here as part of a custom tailored tour of India. The hotel is still being refurbished. It has beautifully landscaped gardens the surround the very large pool and a temple. Several courtyards are hidden around the property. You can walk on the roof to get a good view of the city and some of the nearby haveli's. We... more

This place was very difficult to review, as it appears that the accommodation options in the area are quite limited. The whole place seems like an abandoned palace with very few patrons. It is hard to imagine how it stays in business. Everything feels supersized. Rooms are huge and the dining room feels like something out of the middle ages.... more

Stayed at this property for 1 night as part of a tour of Shekhawati. I chose the hotel myself, based on other TA reviews. The hotel is a large and impressive heritage building in a dusty village in northern Shekhawati. There are a couple of havelis and a temple to see in the village, but nothing like as many sights... more
