In January 2012 was our first trip to San Miguel but not likely the last. The only drawback is getting there and back from Quebec Canada. We knew from our readings that it would likely be so. It was nonetheless worth the trip and plus. VRBO website is very good overall and was instrumental to us in finding excellent accommodation... More

Well located property. Original decoration. Ideal for a long stay. Wouldn't consider it as a 'hotel' which is why i give it 'average'. (no service) This is the perfect place for a weeks stay or more. More

Being there by myself for two weeks, I loved that tres casitas was so close to the main square and all activities. Saying that, nothing seemed to far to walk and the multitude of taxes only charge 225-30 pesos to travel anyplace in the city. Beautifully decorated according to Mexican traditions. Hope to stay there again. More

We stayed at Tres Casitas a couple of years ago and I have never forgotten what a wonderful place it was. We stayed at the uppermost casita and there was a spectacular view of the city from our private balcony. The interior of the casita was wonderful with a lovely kitchen, living room and private garden. We were within walking... More

This was out first trip to San Miguel, a 4-day visit. We didn't know the town so we looked at 20 places on the internet, and picked Tres Casitas. We were in #3, the biggest unit on the ground floor. It was roomy, comfortable, and fun to stay in with all of the local art decorations. Cool roof deck, too.... More

We totally enjoyed our visit to Tres Casitas in SMA. The accommodations were very comfortable, very clean and beautifully decorated with an amazing collection of art and collectibles. The location is excellent and is close to the Jardin and very good restaurants and shops. We looked at many of the other B&B's and were glad we chose Tres Casitas. We... More

Tres Casitas exemplifies the artistic nature of San Miguel de Allende--vivid colors, rich textures and dramatic spaces, all lovingly put together by the owner-artist. Folk art, hand-painted tiles and original paintings, etchings and ceramics adorn each room, making it a sensational background for exploring the town--and the center (the Jardin) is merely two blocks away! As you can tell, art... More

We felt very fortunate to have found Tres Casitas. Location was top of our list and the added bonus was how at home and comfortable we felt surrounded by Nanci's beautiful Mexican artifacts and art. The kitchen was well equipt, the sitting room a relaxing place to dwell and the bedroom comfortable and quiet. The Jardin was within an easy... More

I just got back from a 9-day stay in San Miguel. I found Tres Casitas online and was very impressed by the photos on Nanci Closson's website so I booked it. I was a bit concerned since I never spoke to her in person and did the entire transaction online and through email. There was no need for concern, everything... More
