The goal of my trip to San Miguel was to get away by myself (I have two small children) and do something just for ME, taking classes at the Instituto Allende, reading a book in peace and quiet, meditating without interruption, etc. I did some sightseeing, mostly went to school, walked all over town, and hung out at the hotel,... more

The hotel is tucked away on a side street which gave it a different feel. Th staff was always super friendly and extremely helpful. People consider me to be very particular and overly clean (My entire home is covered with white carpet), and I found the facilities to be very well kept. We are definitely going back to stay there.... more

We were greeted warmly and made to feel like family. Our family of 5 stayed in 2 rooms, our favorite being the "Bugambilia" room. It was not air-conditioned but was comfortable at night with the windows open. The rooms are immaculate and have wonderful outdoor patios and indoor shared spaces. We found the beds to be extremely hard, they seem... more

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Mirasol for 2 nights. Check in was a breeze and were were quickly shown to our rooms. We stayed in "casita", it was a nice and cozy room. The staff was very nice and helpful. Another detail that we enjoyed was that they have free internet access. There is a computer you... more

My partner and I just returned from a 3 night stay at Villa Mirasol. We both liked the small hotel. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were well cleaned. The rooms appeared to be decorated differently, with different layouts. The grounds were small, but very attractive. The included continental breakfast was pretty basic, but for a little extra... more

We’ve visited many cities in Mexico, but have only just returned from our first 5-day stay in San Miguel – and relied on Trip Advisor to help choose our hotel. To some people a hotel is just for sleeping, but in San Miguel we wanted a retreat, a place with charm that reflects the city, central location, good service, and... more

My wife has conducted a knitting retreat/workshop in San Miguel for the past five years. Each year we, and there have been as many as 27 attendees at each workshop, have lodged at the Villa Mirasol on Pila Seca. This small, 12 room hotel, excels in color, comfort and staff attention. Anyone wanting a "special" place to stay while in... more

Humm. I've stayed in similar in other locations and can't help but feel that this place is over priced. Granted, it is clean, has plenty of character, rustic rooms with paintings everywhere. Quaint steps leading to new hidden guest rooms full of charm. It is very hard to criticise this hotel. I like the way it is a few streets... more

My husband and I just returned from a visit to San Miguel de Allende. We stayed two nights at the Villa Mirasol before moving to a house rented by friends. We were in the mini-suite Diana's on the top floor (there are three levels in an old house). The room was lovely, very well appointed (fridge, microwave, etc.) and we... more
