I traveled to San Carlos, mexico from Phoenix for scuba diving with my husband and scuba group. The hotel is fine for divers, each room is different, I'm told. We had room 103 which a bar area, fridge, coffee maker and blow dryer, and 2 queen beds. The room was spacious enough, had a patio area looking at the pool, which was a nice pool area. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel is acress the street from the beach area, which I must say, was not very nice and we only saw a few locals using it. We spent our time diving. The restaurant on the premises was very good and I recommend it. We did not eat across the street at Charlie Rock, but others did and said it was good. We were told that Blackie's down the street was good (too far to walk-get a cab). We also ate at Fiesta Real's restaurant (about 250 yards away-easy walk). Don't drink the water-we brushed our teeth with bottled water. They leave a bottle in your room each day... more
