Like the other reviewers, this is a decent, conveniently located hotel but in desperate need of some updating with the kitchenette, bathroom fixtures, couches, etc. And the beds! Ugh....it is definitely like sleeping on concrete covered in sheets. We went for a week in June '09 then another week in July '09, and the private beach was frequently closed, either... more

Pleasant hotel with great views of the marina. Staff attentive and polite. Best rate Sunday- Thursday. Pool bar closed all weekend and private beach closed due to weddings. I would go back if it not were for the beds: a mattress on top of a concrete slab - sincerely the worst, most uncomfortable sleep i've had in years. more

This was the worst place you can imagin. Beside the fraud in advertising the place, owner never returned the deposit. Owner has many law suits filed against her in Florida. DON'T STAY HERE!!! Larry more

The room was in dire need of up dating. A wall lamp was hanging from it's wires. My husband had to pull out the refrigerator in order to plug it in. The balcony over looked the parking lot rather than the water. You did have a view of the water but it was about 5 miles away. We had to... more

My wife and I have been going to San Carlos annually since 1988. By far the best this town has to offer. Old Plaza Las Glorias hotel. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite, very nice! We had a problem with a light switch and it was replaced within 30 minutes, with a smile.Beautiful views at sunrise and sunset. 2 bars... more

I stayed here a few days before Christmas after staying at the Paradiso Resort . For the price the Marinaterra is a huge disappointment. It should cost about $50 a night instead of $110+. Don't let the exterior appearance fool you, the rooms are outdated, the kitchenette is dingy, the hot tub was broken when we were there, and the... more

We were looking for a place to get away for a short escape. We were on the 6th floor with a very nice view of the marina and enjoyed nice sunsets. The room was worn but fairly clean for Mexico standards. The staff was very nice, friendly and helped us rent a car from Budget. $53 a day. Fish tacos... more

I have stayed here at least 12 times in the past two years. The rooms on the Marina side have incredible rooms. If you are on the blvd. side (cheaper) ask for a high floor and you will have a good view. I have never had a problem with staff, cleanliness, food or anything. Its a very friendly hotel which... more

We were there early June, the rooms are big and top rooms have great views. The AC works ok, but makes a ton of noice, no roches on our trip though that was nice. We did Trash the room like I never have before and the cleaning crew was awsome, we tipped our cleaning lady a hughe load of cash,... more

Room was fine as was the cantina but the disco club downstairs and outside goes to 2:30 to 3:00am on some Thursdays and all Friday Saturdays. Then the locals party in their trucks with thumping stereos another hour or two in the vacant lot by the marina. Not enough cervesa in town to sleep through that. Would not go back... more
