Hostel Allende is 4 blocks from the main plaza. That's about 7 to 10 minutes walking at a leisurely pace. So the location is great. The price is great too. Four of us stayed there for 6 nights. We paid 3,030 pesos. That's 757 pesos per person for 6 nights! You can't find a better deal.
Our room had 2 double beds, a TV with cable, a desk, a chair, and a small table between the beds. There were 2 outlets in the room. The bathroom was tiny. Tall people might have trouble with it. Luckily I'm not that tall. There's always hot water.The sink isn't in the bathroom. It's right outside the bathroom door, in the room. There's one mirror above the sink. The towels are either fluffy or rough, and the pillows are either fluffy or feel like they're made of cement. Ask for another one if you're not happy. They'll give it to you. There's no air conditioning, so if it's hot, wear skimpy pijamas. The rooms have only the most basic things, because that's how they can keep their prices so low...
