An centuries old monestary turned into a hotel, large quiet rooms and a great 'nouveau mexicana' restaurant on the roof. We will stay here again! more

Los Juaninos was located right off the main square, which is great in some ways and not so great in others. On the plus side, everything is walking distance, and the view of the main cathedral right outside our window was amazing. On the downside, as a previous reviewer noted, the bells will ring every hour starting some early hour,... more

Ever dream of staying in a hotel with 20 restaurants, two banks, 10 clothing stores, two jewelry stores, a courtyard that was six blocks square with free live entertainment? Los Juaninos is elegant and its location on the main square of Morelia is perfect. Walk out the front door and take your pick of six outdoor/indoor cafes for breakfast. Museums,... more

I think the other reviews understate the volume of the church bells that are only silent from 10 pm until 5 am. Then, they start with a vengeance every 15 miutes. I too, could not figure out the system of rings but it was at least 15 times every 15 minutes. It is a very pretty hotel with well furnished... more

We walked into this hotel and the staff was friendly and everyone was helpful. It is a beautiful hotel and we had a room with a balcony overlooking the plaza which was fabulous. With the balcony doors open and the fans on there was no need for air condtionong. It was quiet and peaceful. We do have 2 small children... more

A small group of us had a memorable farewell dinner here. The restaurant has a great view of the zocalo's Cathedral which is illuminated at night. There were even fireworks which we could watch from an outside balcony. The food was excellent. Try the peach magaritas. But service was a bit slow on a busy Saturday night. My only complaint... more

Normally I do not stay in this fancy of a hotel but due to not having planned out a trip 3 days before the Mexican Independence Day celebrations I made reservations for 3 nights through Travelocity for $150 a night. Since I was with my father I did not want to risk arriving in a state capitol known for its... more

This is a beautifully restored hotel. It is so tastefully done, inside and out. The hallways inside the hotel are spacious and beautifully decorated. There's no clutter in this building, just lovely furnishings. It's gorgeous, just like the rest of the old city. The hotel is built around two interior courtyards, both of which are used for other commercial purposes... more

The Hotel Los Juaninos, originally a bishop's palace dating back to the 18th century, was restored to a modern hotel in 1998. We discovered the hotel on [--] and were attracted by the location in the center of Morelia , directly across from the main cathedral. At check-in, we were fortunate to secure suite#106, an expansive second floor corner location... more

It was May when I stayed there. It was a very warm night without A/C and I really couldn't open the window because it was too noisy outsid (saturday night). So avoid it during the warm season. more
