We stayed at Villa del Sol for a week while visiting the sights of Morelia. The airport is 30 minutes east of Morelia, and this is the first hotel when you are coming into the city.
The beds were very firm (borderline uncomfortable) and came with only two flattened pillows. We called the front desk and they brought us two more. The room also offered complimentary bottled/filtered water.
The hotel was very clean. It has a beautiful pool and courtyard, something you can't see from the road, and many rooms have a lovely view of the garden, others look onto the parking lot.
We swam in the pool, it was bright and clear (although a bit cold!). There is also a restaurant in the hotel and the food was very inexpensive and delicious. You can also order room service which was very nice for the rainy nights.
All the halls are covered and there is internet access available in the lobby (I was even able to connect wirelessly from the room using my laptop). Parking is a bit of an... more
