While not entirely bad, this hotel is a long way from being decent. It's mentioned in the Lonely Planet as having clean, decent sized rooms. What it doesn't mention is that the whole place is pretty tatty and run down, the lifts are old and unreliable and the windows in the rooms are all inward facing to a small chute that supplies light to all the rooms and bathrooms. Consequently, the room can be noisy and you hear all the goings on of anyone an everyone sharing the same light/ventilation tunnel, from loud tellys to morning ablutions on the loo. The staff aren't at all friendly and they require payment in advance. Having said all that, it is a reasonable budget option in a town that is otherwise quite expensive for accommodation (relatively).
