What is great about this hotel is that is it's location. If you want to see the ruines they are right in front, you cannot get any closer. The hotel itsef is very basic and a Club Med standard I would expect. It is cheap though and ok for one night so I didn't complain. The room are super small,... more

We stayed here while attending a friend's wedding in Mexico. On arriving they checked us in quickly and helped us to our rooms. The room was small but comfortable and a bit different. It was nice and cool during the day and warm enough at night. We tried the pool once, but it was very cold and as I had... more

Don't be fooled by photos of the pool or pyramid. Unqualified staff is friendly, but unknowledgeable. They can't even give directions to pyramid access--the main attraction. Rooms mostly have view of unkept lawn that surrounds 3/4 of property and faces a dirt alley, NOT the famous church or pyramid where the Entry faces--they dress it up with nicely painted Gate/Entry... more

Stayed an extended weekend (thursday till sunday) at this hotel. Booked two rooms, one standard and one suite. Booking was a bit problematic, took three phonecalls and two emails to get things wright. Even after that it was problematic to retrieve our reservations when we arrived..... Hotel is beautifully designed, nice artworks on display and very well maintained poolarea. Rooms,... more

It's not hard to tell that Arquelogicas de Cholula started life as a Club Med! Small rooms better designed for sharing with a stranger than a spouse or significant other. Everything is directed to and focused on the central courtyard with a large well maintained pool and bar dining area. That's where all the action would have been when this... more

We stayed there 2 nights in february while in Cholula. The rooms are small for the price. The hotel is nice, and the closest to the piramids you'll find, but If I had known what I know now, I would have stayed in one of the hotels sorounding the central plaza, and would have taken the day trip to the... more

We have just returned from a three week trip through Mexico, including an extended stay in Cholula ~ extended because we were impressed with the Villas Arqueologicas. This was our first choice hotel because of its proximity to the pre-Columbian pyramid; an easy walk across a well-lit field. The hotel is immaculate: our room was small but well ventilated; architectural... more

Villas Arqueologicas de Cholula is a well kept hotel, located in a walking distance from the pyramid and the Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de los Remedios, but quite far from the city center (Zocalo). I guess it takes about twenty minutes on foot to the Zocalo. But I would not recommend to go back to the hotel on foot in... more

Rooms rather small and not with a great deal of natural light, but you don't come to Mexico to spend your time in the room. The pool and the internal courtyard is just fabulous and the chef is great - the best food we had in all of Mexico by far!!! The hotel manager is very friendly and approachable. It's... more

A beautiful little hotel built around a courtyard and heated swimming pool. There are grass lawns and tennis courts surrounding the site. In the hallways are lighted replicas of ancient Mexican artifacts. The rooms are small but very well, efficiently laid out. Everything is kept up quite nicely. The restaurant has superb food and is very reasonably priced. We spent... more
