We went for a anniversary trip to celebrate our tenth anniversary. My husband and I had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were superb. Service was also spectacular throughout the resort. Great Palace property! Big and sprawling with so many different areas to sit, relax, swim, exercise and eat! Loved the donut-shaped resistance pool and the obstacle course - lots of really neat features like this. My husband and I traveled to Aventura Spa for our honeymoon. We found the resort clean, the food excellent, and the staff friendly. Our ONLY complaint was the special "honeymoon package" that we received. A friend who was there a year ago had a nice candlelit dinner and received polo shirts with the resort name on them. My sister got married in the south gazebo and it was absolutley beautiful. We didn't mind not having a beach because we loved the snorkeling experience and how we could do it whenever we wanted. If you want a beach experience, you should take the Tulum trip and go to the beach on the backside of the ruins. The food... more

We chose this hotel for our 10 year anniversary. I was worried because of some of the reviews. We LOVED it though! Yes the beach is not sand, it is rocks but my husband loved being able to snorkel. You can also get hotdog buns or bread and feed the fish. If you need a beach, they have several options... more

I definitely agree with all the recent reviews. I will just comment on a few things that were not mentioned. We paid for the Concierge room and it was well worth the extra money. Many special "extras" were included. We also went on the "timeshare" tour and received $200 spa credit and two t-shirts. The "timeshare" is really a membership.... more
