Hotel Serenidad was originally constructed as a fish camp. It's a fifty+ year old brick / plaster compund typical of traditional Baja construction. The reviews here are as accurate as any I've ever read. whether you'll enjoy it depends on what your expecting / looking for. It's possible to have difficulties with the hot water system from time to time... more

We arrived in our C172 at the Serenidad hotel....first time landing on a dirt strip (narrow but sufficient). This pilot environment is quite unique, you really can park you plane next to your sleeping room. The quality of the hotel is - to american standards - only so and so. It is clean but not luxury What is very nice... more

I stayed at this hotel for three days. I bought a three day package which included complimentary breakfast. The room was basic but clean. No tv, no telephone. I had to go into town to use the payphone there because the telephone on the premises was not working. I had a good stay. I was in town with a buddy... more

Found the room to be excellent. After the heat of Baja, the A/C was most welcome. Spent most of the afternoon in the pool at the swim-up bar. Staff very courteous, but some meals did take a bit of time to come from the kitchen. Walked to town - just over a mile along a scenic dirt road next to... more

OK folks, this property is located in an extremely rural part of Baja, so don't expect a Marriott, a Pueblo Bonito or a boutique property. Rather, it is a clean, friendly and comfortable property which has been around for 40 years and feels like it. The rooms are simple with comfortable beds and air conditioning. The pool is a good... more

Rooms- 2 standard sized beds, no phones or TVs, no cell phone reception( not even in the town or any other baja area nearby. Cute small fireplace fire wood included. Showers run out of hot water. Walls are paper thin. Food- the hotel is the only one on the beach in the area so there is not much choice but... more

I was pleasantly surprised by Mulege, and I think staying here had much to do with it. Afetr a dusty few days making my way up from Loreto, I checked in here. Great clean rooms, vigorous shower pressure, a nice pool area and restaurant contributed to me staying the rest of the afternoon. Nice lush landscaping with palm trees. Yes,... more

We found the Serenidad to be quite comfy, and enjoyed the medium-sized pool and swim-up bar in the afternoons. This hotel seems to cater to older American travelers and sportfishermen. We were definitely the youngest guests at the time we were there (and we're in our late 30s!). Despite this, we found our room to be pretty comfy and the... more
