The location it's ok, the furniture is very old, rooms are spacious and comfortable but I would say they need new carpet, new toilets new showers new beds and new bed sheets... Overall i would say its average, the staff is very friendly and effective. :)

I will list some points to explain why this hotel is so terrible: - The restaurant served us rotten fish (food was bad in general). - It was very noisy. One night, for example, there was a loud private party in the lobby and the reception people said that they couldn't do anything about that. We had just moved room... More

There are no words to describe how awful this hotel is. Not only are the rooms dirty , beds uncomfortable, and furniture falling apart but people were running up and down the halls all night screaming and laughing so we got no sleep.

Well, to put it shortly. This is not a hotel you might want to stay at. There are several points to make that case. In no particular order: - The place is pretty run down, haven't seen a good renovation in probably 20 years. Which means that there are things not working and signs of wear and tear everywhere. -... I stay at this hotel for its good location, but of the three nights we stayed here two nights there were events with music until two o'clock, which was heard in the room perfectly. The bathroom had a bad odor permanently. The room is big like the bathroom and comfortable, but rest at night was not so pleasant.

A hotel in a good area that is very rundown and has the feeling of almost being abandoned. I would not recommend staying here. Also I don't recommend travel to Xalapa, you will miss nothing by skipping Xalapa. Go to Coatepec and Xico instead - they are less crowded and polluted and less potentially dangerous than Xalapa. It seems people... More

This is a run-down government hotel that hasn't been revamped since it was built sometime in the mid-70s. The service in the restaurant is so poor that it's comical and the rooms smell like humidity although the AC does work. Its location is not the best as it's about 15 minutes walking to downtown -- nothing special, by the way.... More

We had the worst luck to be here during some of kids' sports tournament with literally 500-600 kids running around screaming. The apathetic/hostile/nonexistent service did nothing to improve things. Layout is kafkaesque, bedspreads have large visible unknown stains, windows to courtyard very thin. Staff are lucky they work on some kind of state subsidy or this hotel would never survive.... More

The first day everything went OK. The WiFi was poor but we were promptly relocated to a room with a stronger signal. The second day, shortly before midnight a loud salsa band started playing at a party. The staff at the frond desk only said: "this is a constant complaint when we rent the balroom for parties". Needless to say,... More

A friend recommended this hotel because of its location, within walking distance of the center of town but in a quiet neighborhood. These are its strong points. The grounds and gardens are very nice, too, as is the coffee shop. No one at the front desk could speak enough English to be useful, however, and there were little problems with... More
