Like many traveles nowaday I decided to book my hotel room on-line, about a month in advance, this all worked out quite well and I got my confirmation e-mail wich I printed and presented at the desk of the hotel on my chosen date and time of arrival.

When I did this I was told by the person at the desk that my room was NOT paid for, when I protested that It was and that the total amount of the stay had been DEDUCTED from my account the person went to the back-office and talked to who I believed was the manager, after some time she came back out and very rudely said that that could not be possible, that bookings could not be paid for with a debit/credit card.

I was quite outraged, I explained to her as politelly as I could that IT could be done, I presented another copy of the e-mail, the purchasing credit card and 3 different types of Identification; I asked to see the manager, she went to the back office once again and I could hear them in the office laughing... more
