We stayed at Norburton Hall in February. We loved the open plan accomodation which gave oursleves and two children plenty of space to relax. Did lovely walks from the Hall and were very warm and comfortable - fantastic beds and linen.Beautiful area to explore and plenty to do even in February - especially liked fossil hunting and Hive Beach cafe.... We had booked the Hayloft cottage at Norburton Hall specifically because it was "dog friendly" and because it had been recommended to us.  We had no prior knowledge of the gorgeous village of Burton Bradstock, Dorset. The village was chocolate box perfect and the cottage was well appointed and a home from home.  Within the grounds of Norburton Hall, there... More

Having just returned from an easter weekend break at Norburton Hall I can not recommend this venue and area highly enough. We have two young girls and found plenty to do with-in a short drive. The area is spoilt with really good pub's and cafes, the three house shoes and the hive are our favourites. Having stayed at Norburton Hall... More

Reading previous glowing reviews of the hostess, Karen, she seemed to good to be true. Well, we can confirm, she really is the perfect hostess. We had... More

I came to Burton Bradstock to ask my girlfriend to do me the honour of becoming my wife......which she foolishly agreed to. We stayed in The Hayloft and absolutely loved it - a beautiful, rustic, spacious, well appointed and incredibly warm and cosy self-catering lodge, full of charm. Karen bent over backwards to make sure that our stay was memorable,... More

We stayed in the 2-bed Shippen cottage. It was a brilliant layout all on one level for our curious one year old boy, who loved scooting up and down the corridor. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner was perfect for us, practical too - wood flooring throughout. Our bedroom was gorgeous, full of character with its exposed stone wall and deep set... More

We were a group of 8 people and 5 dogs staying in Gardners and the Shippen for one week at the beginning of October. Karen Venn (The owner) literally couldn't have been more accomodating and welcoming. The Location is so tranquil and the cottages are beautiful and very well equipped. My husband and I are very picky about beds and... More

We stayed at Gardeners Cottage and had a great weekend. The cottage is well equipped, cosy, comfortable and spacious with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs. Perfect location on the edge of Burton Bradstock with an easy and very pretty walk into the village and the Hive beach beyond.

We stayed with our five month old daughter in the Dairy Cottage for a week in early August. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and easy stay. Our host, Karen, was knowledgeable, helpful and kind, and the property was beautiful, in stunning surroundings. Burton Bradstock and the beach is a short walk away and the Hive Beach Cafe... More
