If you are planning a trip to Banff, you must not overlook this two guestroom B&B. I have been to Banff five times and this was our very first time at a B&B. The B&B is located on a quiet street just around the corner from Banff Avenue. There is free parking in front of the B&B. When you drive... more

We drove into Banff in a snow storm in early October. We needed a special place to stay and Poplar Inn was just that. We stayed five nights. Susan, the owner, was very helpful. Breakfasts were great. Poplar Inn has only two rooms, so the shared area was very available. Beds are comfortable. We were close to downtown and restaurants.... more

A lovely place, beautiful backyard with sliding glass doors from both rooms out on to a private deck. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, our host, Susan, had thought of everything. Breakfast was delicious, with maple granola, fresh fruit and chocolate crossants one morning and wonderful french toast the next. The Poplar Inn is a great walking distance from... more

Susan is a great host. Friendly, helpful and a great cook. When my Husband had Dental problems Susan went out of Her way to get us help. The B&B is excellent, and great for 2 couples travelling together so they can use the facilities of the kitchen diner. Everything is close at hand and easy to walk to shops and restaurants... more

Clean, newer accomodations perfect for travelling with another couple. There are only two rooms in the B and B, and they share a common area with kitchen/eating/lounge area in common. Susan (owner) is delightful and interesting, and her breakfasts are superb. Great location right in town...you can walk to dinner. We were delighted with our stay there! more

We enjoyed our stay here, the location is very central to Banff but equally accessible to all the major routes for exploring the area. The fact we had a separate entrance and access to the communual breakfast room was a bonus. The breakfasts were excellent. more

Beautiful home, with great setup especially if you are traveling with another couple or family. The rooms and living area are new, clean and well furnished. The guest rooms are a separate wing of the home, with their own entrance, so there is lots of privacy. Our host, Susan, was so friendly and helpful- we felt like we were visiting... more

The Bed and Breakfast met all of our expectations and was very conviently located just a block away from the main areas of Banff. Outside of Banff being a lovely place to visit, Susan was warm and friendly but not at all overbearing or intrusive. The breakfasts were very nice. I could suspect that some people would have expectations of... more

I echo everyone else's reviews of this B&B - it is lovely. We stayed with Susan for a total of three nights on our visit to the Rockies. We were very pleased with our room (Larch), the en-suite, the kitchen facilities. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast perfect (especially the pancakes!). Susan makes a great and knowledgeable host. Thanks Susan for... more

The Poplar Inn is readily accessible from the highway but is, thankfully, away from the center of town. Quiet location, with tastefully decorated rooms (numbering only two). the guest rooms have a separate entrance, so you can come and go as you please. Susan makes terrific breakfasts (different each day) and is very gracious. A two day stay wasn't enough,... more
