We stayed at Irwins in February 2009 for 1 week. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into Banff town. You have to pass a Safeway supermarket which we used to stock up on drinks and snacks. There is a restaurant at the hotel although we didn't eat there. We were B&B and there was always plenty of cereal,... more

This hotel is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Banff. Don't be misled by their website - the view isn't as stunning as this implies. Staff were helpful and breakfast basic but plentiful. Sauna still not working! Wireless internet is free but intermittent. Maple leaf restaurant in Banff is excellent for a treat. Old spaghetti factory offers basic budget... more

We had just spent a couple nights at the plush Kananaskis Lodge and wanted to relax for one day in Banff before heading home to BC. Little did we know the room at Irwin's would be better than the lodge. The front entrance at Irwin's Inn was warm and inviting and the service was prompt and professional. We stayed on... more

Stayed here for one night. I booked through Hotwire for $89 US. I feel ripped off even at that price. The rooms were ok. The Hallways and the parkade were dumpy. The breakfast was cereal and toast. The sauna wasn't working when we got there and the hot tub was out of order before we left. The Location is pretty... more

We were 2 couples touring BC and AB. After reading reviews on Trip Advisor decided on this location. Very happy that we did. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff were pleasant, courteous and very helpful. Only about a 5 minute stroll to the heart of downtown Banff. The weather during our stay was unusually warm ( 25C) and... more

If you ever stay in Banff, consider this hotel! We were greeted by friendly staff when we first walked in, and every time we stepped out of the elevator into the main lobby. Staff were very helpful, seemed genuine in making your stay as pleasant as possible, and had a lot of knowledge about the town, and where to eat... more

We spent Christmas at Irwins Mountain Inn. The wife and I (44,45) and two kids (20,18). Unfortunately it was undergoing refurbishment and our travel agent didn't tell us this. There was no Sauna & hot tub, which would have been nice at the end of a good days skiing, breakfast was in a dull basement and very basic. The room... more

We stayed here for three nights in September and found the accommodation to be clean and well maintained. We had a spacious room, as far as we were aware it was only a standard room, which had a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. Admittedly the air conditioning had a mind of it's own however we resorted to switching... more

I realize we were staying in Banff, Alberta but the price of $150.00 was way too much for the cracker box room. It was so small you could hardly get around the furniture. And speaking of furniture is the blond veneer finish from the 60's coming back? I hope so because that was what this room had. We could not... more

Seeing as Irwin's is one of the cheapest hotels in Banff, it was a fairly good deal. It definitely wasn't a great stay by any means though. We are a family of five, so we got the 2 room suite with "3 queens", one of which was a couch pull-out that required moving the table and chairs away so that... more
