My wife and I stayed here in late December for two nights in a Queen bed room. We decided to try Voyager Inn due to its cheaper price ($100 per night). The room was a bit dark (one light had blown) but spacious, clean and reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was clean and big and the shower was fantastic! The room... more

Older type of accomodation, but clean, comfy. Walked in last minute and got a great rate of $135cdn with CAA discount. Good deal in peak of labor day weekend. About 10-15 mins walk to town. Got outdoor pool but never used it. A liquor store in the lobby. Ice machine may be far depending on which end of the hotel... more

For the price this place wasn't too bad at all. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were friendly and always helpful. We only really used it for a base for snowboarding and partying so for a place to sleep it was more than adequate... more

I just stayed two nights at the Voyager. It was recommended by a local travel agent as a budget hotel. The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Even though Voyager is about a 20 minute walk from the center of town, many of the other hotels in town are at that end of Banff Avenue and just... more

Just spent 3 nights at the Voyager Inn. As others have stated it is a no frills hotel but considering the cost it was okay. My room was spacious and clean. My only words of advice would be to ask for a room towards the back of the hotel because my room on the main street was extremely loud all... more

We booked in advance because we heard Banff can be full during the summer. When we checked in to our room, we were greated by a pile of filthy towels that the maid had forgotten to remove. The beds were saggy and uncomfortable. A lightbulb was out and two requests for a replacement did not solve this problem. The hotel... more

A practical, no frills hotel. The room was big and clean. The dining room looked more like a large cafetaria and was always empty so we never ate there, though there are plenty of others nearby. The bar is for chain smoking fruit machine addicts only. Pool area was small and a bit spartan, the sauna/steam room looked rather neglected.... more

Very disappointed, right on the edge of town. Did not meet the expectations of the cost. Door to room wasn't secure (looked like it had been kicked in at some point) which did not appear to be much of a concern when reported to the maid service supervisor. Her comment was to the effect that they were aware and the... more

After being frequent visitors to Banff, we have stayed at many hotels, many more expensive than the Spruce Grove Inn. The rooms in this hotel are huge compared to others, very clean, new, and nicely decorated. Excellent "luxurius" value for your money. We will try to always stay at this hotel in the future. more
