We stayed in the Rundle Suite with my parents and our three small children. The layout was great as we could be upstairs and not disturb my parents too much. The view of Mt Rundle was fantastic. We had a great stay. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the children loved the waterslides and playground so much they never wanted to leave the hotel. We all enjoyed watching the wildlife from our balcony. I would (and have) recommended tthe Douglas Fir to anyone, especially families with children. more

I really liked that this was not in town. Banff is a great village but I could live without the traffic noise at night.You could walk to the town center if you're physically fit or take the free ROAM buses.
