The best thing about the hotel was that it was in an excellent location, far enough from town to not get involved in the nightlife and close enough to walk into for shopping and eating etc. The girls at the front desk were extremely helpful, especially as we had lost luggage, and they constantly tried the airline for us so... more

We stayed at this hotel from February 19th - 25th 2007. We had 2 rooms which were opposite each other with a door to the corridor that you could close and lock. This worked well for us with our two sons. The rooms were okay - bathrooms very small but plenty of clean towels. The main problem was with the... more

We recently stayed at the Banff High Country Inn and had a great time. We had read some of the comments on Trip Advisor prior to our arrival and were a bit sceptical but we left very pleased with our choice. They have recently gone through some renovations and there is new carpet and patio doors in the rooms, so... more

We stayed here in November for 2 nights so we could pick any hotel we wanted as it was their low season. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants. The hotel rooms were nicely decorated, new carpet, headed tile floor, the pool was nice, but the hot tub was not that hot. Hotel has a sauna which did not ended... more

As other reviewers have stated, this hotel is in an excellent location - a short walk down the street from all the action of downtown Banff. It is time, however, for hotel ownership to begin reinvesting some of the megabucks being pulled out of this hotel, into a major renovation. The accommodation is adequate but carpets are tired and in... more

Lots of tourists in Banff, and it shows in the hotels. Here's what we thought about our recent stay. PROS: Great location ( within walking distance but not in the midst of) all the action. Fine pool and hot tub. Rooms with lovely balconies, most of which have mountain views. CONS: Not particularly clean...big stains on carpet and ceiling tiles...slow... more

We just came back from two nights at the High Country Inn in Banff, over the Labour Day long weekend. Overall, we were very pleased with the location, as it was a quick walk (less than 10 minutes) into the centre of town, but just far enough out to not be too noisy. Our room was on the main floor... more

We loved our vacation in Banff, and the High Country Inn was a perfect place to stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the moment we booked our reservation. The High Country Inn was not only the most reasonably priced (for Banff, that is!), but it was so convenient to the main area. We received free parking (and... more

I had a difficult time booking a room for under 200 dollars that was also airconditioned. We were pleased with the room, I think we had a junior suite with a queen bed in one room (with a balcony) and a murphy bed in the other room that had a small refrigerator and table and chairs. I think if the... more

I won't try this hotel again. Our family of 4 spent one evening here while travelling through to Sicamous for a houseboating vacation. While there is underground parking it doesn't work if you have a van or, in our case, a car top carrier on your vehicle. Parking in back is limited but we managed to get a spot. We... more
