Hotel is at the base of the 4 mountains, Standish, Lookout, Wawa, and Goats Eye, base elevation is around 6000ft. Access is via Gondola and that closes at 5:30pm, KEY fact, and starts at 7:30am. Bags get brought up to hotel and returned down to your vehicle via the gondola by staff but they need a 3 hour margin, i.e.... more

What a location! After a 20 min gondola ride up the mountains to 7000 feet you arrive at Sunshine Village. The hotel is as it advertises - ski in ski out, right on your doorstep. We stayed in a waterfall room on the back, cheaper, quieter but no balcony like the other rooms. We did have a few issues though.... more

I stayed here with my boyfriend and a mixed group of six others (22-40yrs) over New Year. We all had a fantastic holiday and loved waking up with a view of the waterfall run outside our window. The place is very isolated, great for a short break but not a lot of variety if you are staying longer. We did... more

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for two nights at the end of December 2007. The hotel was not particularly interested in our having an enjoyable stay. There were a number of incidents which illustrated this (for example, the staff and managers exchange the details of their hangovers within hearing distance of the restaurant patrons, and no one... more

Although Sunshine Village Resort is the only on-hill option, it didn't matter because the hotel is great for hard core skiers and snowboarders that like a bit of luxury. The hotel was recently renovated with modern amenities. The rooms are small and nicely decorated, but that's okay because you just need the room to sleep right? The real fun is... more

I stayed at the Sunshine Inn with two of my sons during the first week of April 2007. I had read the selection of varied reviews with interest and occasional alarm but need not have worried because we had a fantastic trip. We arrived when the snow was falling and the temperature was 22 below. By the end of the... more

My wife and I spent two days of fantastic spring skiing in early May this year. The snow was great, and the crowds were non-exsistant. Unfortunately, some problems with the hotel marred our stay. The re-done rooms are not bad, but a few details need some attention. Our bedsheets had tears, the blanket had some suspicious stains, and the bathroom... more

I have been staying at Sunshine for 38 years and have experienced many situations, some good and some pretty awful. Matt McCormack has been the Inn Keeper for 9 years and has brought about some amazing changes. He is practically always on site with his door open and a welcoming personality. The rooms are renovated to reflect the mountain environment... more

It was amazing, the one thing I didn't like about it was leaving. The food was THE BEST. The people were super nice and the rooms where beautiful and not to metion they weren't pricy. I got a massage, it felt like I was in heaven. If you're reading this and you haven't yet gone to this hotel and telling... more

We stayed in probably one of the best rooms, right on the corner with an awesome view of the mountains. The lounge was a nice place to have a meal and hot drink and the fireplace adds to the feeling of a snow resort. They don't have room service, but you can call the lounge and order a meal then... more
