Very accomodating staff, always ready to help. The place is really clean. Breakfast with plenty of goodies. Room was very spacious. The hot tubs with the fire place are really cool. Will stay there next year. The only drawback was that the internet, inefficient and slow connection. more

My wife and I spent an extended 12 day stay at Aspen Lodge in late April/early May 2009. Our arrival, in a blizzard, summed up the rest of the stay. Warmly greeted by friendly staff who had a relaxed, friendly approach to all guests. The hotel is ideally situated on the road from Trans Canada 1 Highway into Banff town... more

Three days in Banff after plenty of hiking needed to justify a little more money spent. However, the Banff Aspen Lodge is in a serious need of a facelift - especially for the price they are charging. The staff at the front desk were not particularly helpful. The location is a little way off from the downtown core, but nothing... more

We booked this hotel because we saw that it wasn't fancy, and it was a good price. We were in town to ski and required a decent place with a hot tub, breakfast included and within walking distance of everything. The hotel was pretty plain - rooms was standard in terms of amneties. Very large though. Bathroom had radiant heating... more

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Banff Aspen Lodge. It provides everything you could possibly want in a hotel located in the center of the Banff. Many stores, restaurants, and cafes are in easy walking distance. We had two-queen suite with the balcony facing Banff Ave and the room was spotless. The hotel offers a free shuttle to... more

We were a group of five friends (women) who came from the UK on a ski trip. We found the hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they even remembered and addressed us by our names to say good morning/evening. We found the hotel very clean and pleasant. The breakfast was included in the price... more

As a single traveler who arrived one day late due to weather problems, I especially appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. The front desk is very helpful with suggestions on local places, skiing and getting around. The hot tub is very large and very comfortable even in -11 to -28C weather! I've seen some comments that the... more

My Family and I stayed here for 5 days in February. We were there primarily to Ski and Sunshine and Lake Louise. The Hotel is overall pretty nice, the 2 outdor hotubs and the location are the highlights. The rooms were basic and definitly dated, and could use an upgrade. But it had everything you needed. One problem we had... more

16 of us have just returned from 12 nights at the Banff Aspen Lodge and absolutely loved it. Totally exceeded expections. Rooms were a great size and the cleaners were brilliant. Hot tub was fantastic, although one of them was broken for the duration of our stay. Location was good, only 5 mins walk to the main strip. Reception staff... more
