We spent the Alberta family day weekend at this hotel. We rented a one bedroom loft chalet (bedroom with a queen bed downstairs and two double beds in the loft upstairs). The hotel is definitely showing its age. The beds were fairly comfortable but the pillows are old and really need to be replaced. The kitchen needs more dishes to... More

Well, that was quite something. First you got to know that we`ve been there in Oct 2008 and had to deal with mice in our wall who kept us awake all night. We had to move to a different unit the remaining nights. It took me more then 3 years to recover but not completely. My wife had to insist... More

Loved Tunnel mountain, just up the road from main town of Banff. Lots of trees and nature. Very clean with all amenities. Room layout of loft room great for 6 people. King bed and half bath in upstairs loft. Queen bedroom as you enter. Galley style kitchen with full fridge, stove, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and all utensils you need to... More

We stayed here recently and we are always pleased with our stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and its great for families. I love that they have a kitchen. Every time we stay we always bring food to save a bit on costs. Also having 2 children its not the easiest to go out for dinner. My kids... More

My wife and i were traveling on a budget and found that paying for a bit more than the most basic of B & Bs or hostels offered kitchen or kitchenettes. This place had a pretty full functioning kitchen so what we paid in extra over the most basic model of room, we more than made back by cooking our... More

I stayed there over New Years with a group of friends. The location is fantastic, out of the town but close enough to walk and surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. Great heating with beautiful fireplace as well as ducted heat. I particularly liked how the rooms were seperated from one another. Will be sure to recommend! More

Fabulous location, wood burning fireplace, clean and maintained. Plenty of mule deer roaming the grounds. Not the latest technology for everything, but I'd return. More

My family chose to stay here because the hotel we usually stay out there (which is across the street) had no vacancies. The cost was lower but so was the quality. The TV's appeared to be from the early 90's (one of them had knobs to control picture quality, etc) The TV in the main room was barely functional and... More

The hot tub/suana they keep at a very low tempature because i assume it doesnt get used very often. I asked... More

Hi Kody, Thanks for writing the review. I am a little confused as our phone conversation was completely different from what you have stated here. I feel I need to clarify a few points. One – You trashed your room to a point where it was unsellable for 72 hours. Two – You did not “spill”, you poured sweet and... More

Our family has been celebrating Christmas in Banff for the past few years, this year we stayed at Tunnel Mountain Resort and were suprised with Banff´s best kept secret. Although it is a moderate property without luxuries we enjoyed the two jacuzzi tubs and pool. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, the two rooms that we had were sparkling... More
