Hotel is situated within 5mins walk of town centre everything up to expectations staff very helpful rooms very good the 14$ evening meal good value there are also numerous eating establishments in the town. for low cost drinks try the British Legion near the bridge the only down you had to pay to use the internet in reception. more

The location is ideal, very close to the main street and river. The only downside to the location was the trains. This was a very comfortable lodge with good rooms and friendly staff - plus good location. For a comparatively small place it had a very good pool area (with hot jacuzzi and large steamroom and sauna) - which was unexpected. We came for our anniversary! One front desk attendant was very rude, and unwelcoming, upon check in and on phone.... however got a very warm welcome from Valet. Our visits to the BPL have never disappointed. From dealing with Olga in reservations to Joanne in housekeeping, everything met our expectations.
