I came to the BPL with my girlfriend last summer on our trip through Alberta into BC. We decided to stay at the BPL because we saw it had vacancy and because it was only a few minutes from down town. The front desk staff was really helpful and got us checked in quite quickly. Our room was a decent... more

I stayed at the Banff Park Lodge for one week at the end of September 2007 for a work conference. The conference facilities are okay, but may be a bit dated. The rooms are average - and it appears they could use a few renovations. The beds are not very comfortable. However the maid service is good. We had meals... more

Myself and 2 friends have just returned from a weeks skiing in the Banff/Lake Louise area. We stayed at the Banff Park Lodge and would definately recommend! Now Ok this isn't 5* or 6 * but it does blow any, and i mean any European ski hotel out of the water - as does skiing in Canada in general! We... more

Upon arrival we were told that since the pool/hot tub were under renovation we would need to take a taxi to another pool- not very appealing considering it was so cold outside. As we walked to our room, the halls were lined with loads of garbage from rooms that had been cleaned. There appeared to be black mould all over the... more

We chose to spend our last night in Banff at the Park Lodge. We had spent two and a half weeks in Banff mostly camping but spending a couple of nights at the Rundlestone and one at Bumpers. We chose the Park Lodge as we wanted something very close to the downtown so we could get our shopping done and... more

We stayed at the BPL during our 3 week honeymoon from Calgary to Vancouver. As we arrived into Banff with no accomodation booked, we went staright to the tourist information office, They were v helpful there and gave us a list of all the hotels that had vacancies for that evening and the next night. The tourist information office even... more

Myself , my husband and our teenage son stayed at the Banff Park Lodge for the first two weeks in July on a bed and breakfast basis, We had a large comfortable room with 2 king size beds and private bath/shower. The room was serviced every day and the bedsheets changed every second day. There was air conditioning but this... more

I stayed at Banff Park Lodge in early July. I had a wonderful stay, the rooms were clean, the restaurants were good and the location was perfect. My one complaint was about the concierge. Steve from Winnipeg was a fantastic, charming young man. Tyler was great. Robin (the Bell Captain) on the other hand was not. When we checked in,... more

Booked a night at the BPLRCC, after an amazing drive down the Columbia Icefields highway from Jasper. Decent "motel" quality but could have been cleaner and the greenish flourescent lightbulbs were really horrible. No chairs on the balcony. Main complaint is that they charge for things they don't put on the website or tourist literature and some of which they... more

We just came back from a 5 night bed and buffet breakfast stay at the BPL. After reading some of the mixed reviews, we were concerned since we would be staying for 5 days. However, we decided to give this hotel a try anyways and we were very happy with our decision. The downtown location of the hotel was great-close... more
