The Homestead Inn is in a fantastic location. Two minutes walk from Banff's shops, restaurants and bars. It is basic but very quiet, clean, warm and welcoming. Great if you're skiing or boarding as the bus stop is straight across the street. Plus it is the last pick up of the route and first drop off on the way back,... more

I have just got back from a 10 night stay at the Homestead Inn. Perfect place for a ski holiday. Big rooms, plenty of hot water and heat, very clean and tidy. Towels and beds changed daily. Right in the heart of Banff - lots of the other hotels are on the way out of town and can be a... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in September. The motel-style room was on the 2nd floor and there's no elevator, but that wasn't a big deal. The room was rather dated and worn, but large and clean and maintained, and for the price I paid I haven't any complaints. The room faced the main street and was a little noisy... more

Hotel is really a motel. It is central and clean but basic. Kept awake all night by people moving around in the room above-sound insulation was extremely poor. Front door was right on car park and people banged on the door during the night. Felt a bit vulnerable. Banff is lovely but very touristy and expensive. Melissas mistake next door... more

We were travelling through the Canadian Rockies and the US in the height of summer. When we pulled up in Banff I was worried about staying in such a well known touristy place, but my husband was keen to stay the night in Banff having had a long drive that day. We'd been to most of the hotels in Banff... more

Was part of a tour group so didn't choose to stay here. When we arrived the outside is offputting, but room was large, very clean with comfortable beds. The addition of a domestic size fridge was very welcome. Good bathroom with plenty of towels, soaps etc. all changed daily. No elevators but was pleased to be on the 2nd floor... more

Great Hotel! Simple, clean, foot step from main street! But for a hot summer week, no air conditioner in the room, only a ventilator, it's a bit inconfortable! It's the only negative point! more

I go there to hike every year and stayed there for 5 days and this is my first time their, I seen other hotels and motels, but i give this one a 10 out of 10. Extremely clean every day, going out of there way to make sure the bathroom was super clean, From the placement of the new soap... more

We are in our mid 30's and expereinced snowboard holiday'ers and we were looking for budget accommodation - but somewhere clean with hot water - and close to the action in town. There was plenty of hot water to warm up after a day on the slopes here! Homestead Inn is a great , great location - right in town... more

Had a blast. Things were clean, quiet, and affordable. Price really drops in the off season, but even the high-season is affordable. Will stay again. Only issue: No wifi provided by hotel. Had to stand on balcony area to use nearby free wireless. Pain in the butt. Hope this gets addressed soon. more
