Amazing place - top class log cabins done in the traditional way and with a massive comfy bed for when you're all hiked out! Good location 20 mins drive from Banff village and spectacular views everywhere you look. Service of the highest order, with well-informed, patient and friendly staff, and as for the food - wow! Highly suggest you try... more

Stayed there the night before starting a 4-day back-country trek. Thought we would treat ourselves to a nice cozy cottage and a hot shower before starting off early the next morning for 4 days of roughing it. We arrived at the lodge for a late meal (not great) and then headed to the cabin. I don't know if it was... more

We found our cabin to be very rustic an cozy, loved how our fire was prepared for us every day ,house keeping was excellent. It would have been nice to have a fridge in there though considering we braught a bunch of food with us from our previous visit in jasper an of course had to through it all out.We were... more

My partner and I stayed at these cabins for a single night in August and very much enjoyed our stay. They weren't as secluded and rustic as I was hoping for but there's always trapper cabins for that. These cabins represent an excellent balance between wanting to escape city life without leaving behind absolutely everything. The wood burning fireplace was... more

We stayed here for two nights for our honeymoon in August 2009. We just happened to be there the two nights of our 10 day stay in the Canadian Rockies when it rained hard -- and snowed on Storm Mountain above us -- so we spent a lot of time indoors. We had cabin #2, which the staff said was... more

When we travel, we sometimes camp and sometimes stay in nicer hotels. I don't think I'm overly picky. However, when I pay over $250 a night, I usually expect something a little bit better than this. The cabins at Storm Mountain Lodge are fairly rustic, and yes, perhaps charming. They're located a long way from anywhere -- they're half way... more

This place had been recommended by a couple who gave it great reviews. However i would not recommend it. Front desk disorganized. Could not give us directions. The couple who recommended it had been married over 30 years, but with a partner...TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT! You could be in the bathroom and talk in a normal voice to the person... more

There are a lot of reviews here about the lodge. Some good some bad. Here is ours: Storm mountain lodge is a very nice place to stay and a plus it is dog friendly. The cabins had a log fireplace, bathroom, bed , couch and thats really it. It is a great place away from crowds . The cabins were... more

We stayed here for three nights and it was everything we hoped for and imagined for the Canadian Rockies. The log cabins are warm, snug and cosy and have big open log fires to snuggle in front of on the sofa. Lots of firewood is provided but there's gas heating too. The beds are big and comfy (I totally disagree... more

Storm Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place for a stay in the Canadian Rockies. My husband and I stayed 5 days and the cabin and meals were the very best we have ever experienced in Canada. We have traveled extensively all over the world in many high end hotels and resorts and we know a good operation when we see... more
