The main advantage of this hotel are its relative affordability, which can be difficult to find in Banff. The hotel provides a comfortable bed, a clean smallish room, a private balcony and good underground parking. It's connected by a tunnel to its sister hotel, the Voyager, which is where any additional amenities are located. These include a restaurant and liquor... More

We were upgraded from the Voyager Inn into this (connecting) sisterhotel. The rooms are very (!) spacious and hotel was quiet. The reception was manned limited hours (be directed to Voyager inn otherwise). The beds were not that good. The WiFi was excellent. Bathroom was clean and rather roomy and double sink and countertops. The only thing with this hotel... More

Stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour. It is one of the farthest out of the hotels in Banff- it took us about 15 minutes to walk in. There is also a bus service running by, I think about every 30 minutes. Our room was perfectly acceptable, and very quiet, despite the proximity of the ice and cold... More

The Spruce Grove Inn is now the Annex to the Voyager Inn next door. The Voyager provides the bar and restaurant. There are so many other places to eat and drink in Banff we did not use these facilities. The hotel provides good sized, clean and comfortable rooms. The reception staff were helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute... More

My husband and I stayed at the Spruce Grove Inn, Banff, for 2 nights in September. We actually paid in advance for three nights, but bailed out a day early, and needless to say, didn't get any money back. Having researched TripAdvisor before booking my room, I was VERY careful to note that the really, truly awful ratings for this... More

This is a fine hotel. Nothing to write home about but not bad either. It is what I would call the middle of the road. You get what you expect for the price you pay. There isn't a bargain and you’re not getting taken either. It is basic but clean. It is newer but the decor looks out-dated. It is... More

We spent two nights here in May. We originally booked for the sister hotel next door, the Alberta, but due to their difficulties in accommodating a large coach party, we were asked when we checked in, would we mind moving next door. We had a very pleasant comfortable room, with a balcony at the front, overlooking the mountains . No probs... More

We chose this hotel mostly because of the price of the room. Once we got there, so worth it! We ended up staying an extra night. The staff were friendly and accomodating. The room was a nice size but the view from the balcony was amazing. We had thunderstorms both nights, but we could leave the door open and listen... More

This hotel was booked for us as part of a tour. Although it is one of the furthest hotels from the centre of Banff we didn't mind too much as we enjoy walking and there is a bus stop close by. The room was fine - reasonably clean and comfortable - and the parking was easy in a car park... More

Arrived to find phone in room ringing and cover from air con unit on floor. Went back to front desk to inform staff needed room change as air con broken and very hot in room. Staff said were phoning to see if room was up to standard. No real apology just some juggling to find us a new room. Room... More
