First and foremost this hotel is under renovation. Thier website states the following "Our guestrooms have been recently refreshed for you to enjoy!". Thier website should say; "Our hotel in the course of renovation and hence potential guests are advised of construction noise, dust, unpleasant odours in all rooms and a general lack of customer service." Upon check in we... more

Our room had been renovated and was clean and comfortable. The renovations are apparently being done in stages (logical) since everything seemed new but the furniture. The beds are new and offer the electronic dial which allows one to choose softness. Our room faced south, offering a view of downtown Calgary in the distance, but also on a busy road.... more

Very convenient location, free parking. Renovations pretty much complete so didn't encounter problems there. Room was cramped. Hallway noise was very loud. I'm not a big fan of the sleep number beds. Had problems with wired internet, apparently wireless still being installed. Did not dine in the hotel at all. Too many good restaurants nearby. Pool and exercise rooms not... more

First, the positive: The staff was very friendly, and my room was quite comfortable, especially the Sleep Number bed. Most important, after I wrote to Rooms Division Director Gavin Melder about my frustrating experiences at the hotel, he sent me an apologetic letter and refunded my money. I give him great credit for this. Still, the problems with my one-night... more

This is, without a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. When you first arrive, you'll notice the outside of the building covered in scaffolding - probably not a good first impression. What you may not have known is that the hotel is currently under construction/renovation, and between the hours of 9am-5am, you will be bombarded by extreme... more

Management response from
Gavin Melder, Director Rooms Division

The hotel has ensured that all channels of booking are aware of the current renovation project and are communicating the same to all patrons looking to reserve accomodations at the hotel. All rooms will have renovations completed by early October 2009 and will have a choice of both CAT 6 hardwired internet as well as wireless highspeed. We apologize for...

I've stayed at the Radisson multipe times, and even are there sometimes without staying. In a meeting room or in the restaurant. It seems every single time I'm there, there's only one person working. One person in banquet staff, one person in restaurant staff and one person in front desk staff. How is it possible to function off of a... more

Management response from
Gavin Melder, Director Rooms Division

The hotel strives to staff the various departments with appropriate levels that is determined by the business inorder for patrons to experience good service levels. Management is involved in assisting line associates as and when required. We appreciate the feedback and will most certainly revisit our staffing stratergies. Thank you,

I agree with another reviewer that Radisson should feel ashamed to put the name on this hotel. I expected the quality Radisson hotels offer at other places I stayed before. The location is inconvenient if you don't have a car: far from the airport and far from downtown. I think their description about their location is kind of misleading. The... more

Management response from
Gavin Melder, Manager

The hotel is fifteen minutes from both the airport and downtown. Shuttle service from the airport is on demand and on some occasions can take up to half hour, depending on location of shuttle at the time of call. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations to all the guest rooms and is scheduled to have them completed by the end...

Please disregard the other negative reviews. They must have stayed somewhere else or long ago. I was hesitant to stay there but found excellent service, room, amenities, etc. The lobby is clean and welcoming. Comfortable seating for a large group. Your room card will give access to the business room with free internet. On their computers, not yours. This is... more

We stayed here for a business trip and check out the next night without completing the entire stay. There are a couple things that tip us off that this hotel isn't in the best area.... 1. The hotel is right on a busy highway with signs in the parking lot...not responsible for any damages. 2. Old hotel and decor 3.... more

Stayed at this hotel with 3 little kids. We had a newer room with 2 queen electric beds(u could adjust the hardiness of the beds). We've never seen anything like this in other hotels. Beds were comfortable, room was a good size and it was clean. Kids enjoyed the pool very much. For the price it was a great room,... more
