I travel everywhere in Canada, but live in Calgary, so almost never get to see the inside of Calgary hotels. An opportunity presented itself when my parents came from New Haven. Well, the reputation of the Eau Claire does not outpace the actual hotel. This is an absolutely fabulous hotel, and does the city proud. more

Stayed at this property over the 6/7 June weekend with family. As I was on business too, I got a corporate rate which was under $200 a night. I am a Starwood Gold member which probably assisted in getting me an earlier check-in than the posted 3 pm time which was handy. I found the front counter staff to be... more

Hotels in Calgary are generally overpriced. Finding a decent room for under $200 is pretty tough. However if you can get a room here for around $200 (and you're Starwood platinum) then this is definitely the best deal in city. The staff are very attentive and there is an attention to detail only experienced in Asian hotels. Management definitely did... more

Good location, OK rooms but I'lll never stay there again. Brutal front desk staff. Denied a travelocity prepayment even when showed the travelocty reservation, whiuch they had on system. Had to pay 300% more then seek resolution from travelocity. Travelocity was excellent. Problems with high speed internet. in room. Only 1 treadmill in gym worked, and the TV there did... more

Enjoyed a long weekend in a small but beautiful suite. The service was wonderful, loved the simplicity of the valet parking while downtown. The area near the river is beautiful, enjoyed strolling around the Au Claire Market, cool shops and pubs. Try the mussels at the place right across the street (not Joey Tomatoes). My husband loved being nextdoor to... more

Recently stayed here for the first time. Usually stay at the Westin. We had a suite with two queen beds and a lumpy pull out. Beds are great but the room is very very small. They need to update the rooms and the TV's and get wifi. The Staff, including Ben the Chocolate Labrador, are great! Love the location for... more

We got a great deal when we called the hotel directly- plus we stayed a couple nights before New Years Eve- so our price was much lower than only being there the night before. We stayed our first night upon flying into Calgary- then checked out and went to Banff for the week and then came back to Calgary for... more

As the other reviews say, the only complaint I have is the price. I wouldn't call it over-priced, but based on what you can get at other hotels in the Calgary area it is above average. Nevertheless, this is a four star hotel where all the staff you encounter treat you like their personal guest. They are all smiling and... more

I have stayed at the Sheraton Eau Claire before but was disappointed on this trip. The room price is extremely high but the rooms still do not have wifi or decent tv's. The rooms are nicely appointed and the beds are comfortable. The food was very pricey and not good in both for both Barclay's (hotel restaurant) or room service.... more

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel other than price. Rooms were comfortable, all suites so you have a sitting area and then a sleeping area. I had a standard room so 2 queen beds in the bedroom - which actually made it a bit crowded. Sitting room was nice, couch, chair, TV, coffee table. There was a small... more
