Everything from start to finish was perfect! Staff were very friendly, Hotel is gorgeous, the room was amazing, the bed, I miss that bed!! Room service was right on time, food was good, vallet parking was great, absolutely no complaints, we can't wait to go back! Great value! more
We stayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of a train/bus tour through the Canadian Rockies. We were quite impressed with the swanky decor and the creativity of the interior decorating (we especially loved the bedside tables with interior ambient lighting!) in the room and lobby. We enjoyed the courtyard pool (especially the poolside bar with its... more
The hotel decor was fabulous and the room was really clean. We booked a king luxury room which was great value for the price. it was a fun, trendy hotel perfect for a couple spending a night out-on-the town. the only drawback for us was the location...but we are not very familiar with Calgary and didn't have much time to... more
In September 2008 I stayed at the Hotel Arts and had the worst experience from any hotel Ive ever been too. We spent the weekend hiking around calgary, and the day we stayed at the hotel we were in Banff till late and didnt think we would make our reservation. We called to see if we could cancel but the... more
My boyfriend and I spent one weekend in August at the Hotel Arts. It has a great location, right in the centre of everything - so close to Stephen's Ave, 17th Ave and the Calgary tower. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable and the decor was nice. The rooms actually look exactly like the photos on their website :)... more
It's really too bad about this place. I liked the decor, design, and feel about it - it's unfortunate that the staff at this establishment don't seem to care about the experience that their guests are having. Our first impression was absolutely awful as the doorman was rude - we weren't sure we were at the right door as there... more
Ugh! How do they get away with this? Noisy like crazy, scary room service menu...I could go on but I won't. It's like the people who run the hotel have never actually traveled themselves and their only knowledge of service comes from cartoons and from old movies from childhood. Guys, if you want to stay in business: get better food,... more
We stayed there recently for a wedding, and were very unimpressed with this hotel. The Hotel Arts is currently under construction, and this was used as an excuse for everything from the small rooms to the fact that the bars in the hotel do not have draft beer (and charge over $8 for a bottle of domestic). The room was... more
The Hotel Arts is currently the only boutique hotel in Calgary and also the only hotel with an outdoor heated pool. The hotel opened about 3 years ago and it's been beautifully designed and filled with amazing art and furniture. We had a luxury king room which was big - not only did it have a big bed but it... more
