We booked into the Tekarra Lodge largely on the basis of the presence of an upscale restaurant on site. We figured that with a high end restaurant, the lodge had to be nice. Bad assumption. Our room was in one of the many out-buildings with one other rooom -- the place was dark and drab, wih a very old bathroom... More

we had a good stay at Tekarra Lodge. Have to add we only spend little time there, as we left quite late and left early morning (to look for bears). for our purposes, this place was excellent. I rate it average, as in case you expect much for the price you pay, you will be disapointed. We just looked for... More

We stayed for 3 nights in Tekarra Lodge. We felt like Hansel and Greter in our cosey little cabin. The bedroom, living and (complete) kitchen is all in one room, but the room is rather spacious. The bathroom is basic but okay. Our studio was connected to another one (as most of the cabins are) and it was rather noisy.... More

The Tekarra Lodge is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Jasper, Alberta. The tranquil setting and close proximity to the town of Jasper (1 km on walking trails) made the location perfect for our family vacation. The individual rustic styled cabins are inviting and well maintained for someone who is looking for a true escape in the mountains. The... More

We were looking forward to our cabin experience in Jasper. I had visions of Kellerman's resort in Dirty Dancing.... but I was very disappointed when we checked in to Tekarra Lodge. Our room was near the entrance of the resort which meant it was very close to the highway, with just a thin line of trees to shield us from... More

To be fair the room was tiny, not any privacy given we were travelling with my parents and the room was supposed to sleep 6, but as we had read the other reviews this didn't really come as a surprise. We really enjoyed our stay, and the cabin had everything we needed other than space for luggage etc! The service... More

I cannot say enough about the amazing service we recieved at Tekarra Lodge. As a group for a wedding we booked a total of 12 different cabins and everyone was very happy with their rooms and stay. The staff went above and beyond for us. They were very friendly and helpful. They set up tables and chairs on the ridge... More

We had a small cabin, which is really, really small. You can hardly wlke between bed, table and your luggage. Very nice porch and Adirondacks outside at the river. Together with These the lodge is a good place to stay for the attractions of Jasper. You feel a Little bit like Camping in the 60s.

As we came from the A class Falcon Crest Lodge in Canmore, saying we were a bit disappointed when we saw our room would be the understatement of the year... one of the smallest rooms I have ever been in ( we had to rearrange the room (moving a piece of furniture) to fit in our luggage.... yes it was... These are rustic cabins with tons of trees located on the Athabasca river, they have no phone or TV but do provide internet service. They also accept pets for a small fee.Restaurant is in a separate building with excellent food. Staff is friendly and the view is amazing!! We stay there every year and love it! It is not for...
