When booking my hotel stay in Jasper I was almost put off this hotel by the reviews but luckily I wasn't. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, it had a great indoor spa and pool and also a gym.All areas were well kept and up to date.Free internet was available on the ground floor near the front... more

Sometimes I wonder what people want. We stayed at the Chateau Jasper for 2 days recently as a part of an 11 week trip away from Australia. Yes, some of the decor is dated, but the setting is wonderful, the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful and the room was large enough for us and 2 x 23KG... more

Obviously many comments from a prior ownership. Hotel is clean and seems well run. I liked the fridge and tea kettle in the room. Free internet a bonus after a paying for it at other hotels (get with it people). Felt safe and relaxed. Thank you for a great stay. more

This was our second stay this year at the Chateau Jasper, this time with our two young children. The place is fine, overall, nothing catastrophic, and we also recognize that there's a lack of truly luxury hotels anywhere in Jasper (even the Jasper Park Lodge is dreadfully outdated and dingy) but if you're looking for anything remotely above the average... more

The Chateau Jasper was home for the first week of our Winter Rockies holiday.Catherine and her staff made us feel really welcome. Our room was spacious with well appointed amenities. There were minor works taking place whilst we were there but we were kept informed. The food in the restaurant was very good as were the Aussie staff.(as well as the Canadians) .The... more

We just finished touring Banff before we came to Jasper for three nights stay. Hotels in Banff were expensive (~$150 a night) but really good quality. We paid about the same price as in Banff for a room in Chateau Jasper but the quality of the room was horrible - furnishings were outdated (from the 70's) and overpriced. It had... more

We stayed at the Chateau Jasper over Christmas of last year. We decided to try the King Executive Suite. It wasn't that much more than the standard rooms (maybe $30 extra - the cost was 149/night). The room has a very comfortable King bed, separate living room area and large bathroom with soaker/jacuzzi tub and separate shower. There is also... more

Chateau Jasper was a real let down. After promises of upgrades and grandeur from the reception staff, we were disappointed to find our room was tired and old, the television didn't work and there was a rotten sandwich left in the corner! Thankfully, we were moved to a lovely suite in the hotel next door, which i believe is part... more

I stayed here as part of a three week tour, where I stayed in 6 different hotels in W Canada overall. Of those we stayed in, this was the worst unfortunately. The decor was so dated the room felt dingy, the bathroom was cracking & peeling and the picture on the TV was fuzzy and unwatchable. I complained and the... more

We had an overnight stay as part of our tour and found the accommodation quite ok and the staff that we encountered where friendly enough. It rates average in the wide range of hotels we stayed in during our seven week holiday. Unfortunately the catering staff were overwhelmed when our group coincidentally all arrived at the same time for breakfast.... more
