We chose to stay at the Best Western Northgate because it was within walking distance of Nanaimo's only brew pub. The hotel is located in a suburban type area, across from a grocery store and other businesses and not too far from the main island highway. We stayed in this hotel whilst touring Vancouver Island, and having stayed in many other hotels during our tour, we opted to return to The Best Western, Northgate Inn AGAIN within 2 weeks! My girlfriend and I stayed at the Best Western Northgate Inn for 3 days and we had a very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly, and the facilities were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. more

My husband and I just came back from a trip to the Island. We both are very happy about our trip, especially at Best Western Northgate Inn in Nanaimo. The hotel staffs are professional and very helpful. I would definitely tell my family and friends about this hotel and would definitely stay at this hotel again. more

To everyone who is a faithfull Best Western Costomers, this is not the Best Western you would expect. I have had my shares in dealing with pains, anger and frustrations with finding the best night sleep through out travels on business trips. In the last two years I came to beleive Best Western offers me the comfort that I deserve.... more

Because the reviews on the downtownhotels weren't that good, we tried this one, not in downtown Nanaimo, but convienently located on the Island Hwy (19A), app. 15 min. drive from the ferry. Average motel, clean rooms with balcony, close to shops (Superstore & several malls) and restaurants. Ample parking. Not very cheap, but with a small hottub/sauna & fitness area.... more
