My husband and I stayed at The Grand for three nights. We chose Nanaimo as we wanted to be more central island in order to do a few day trips and shopping. Travelled Vancouver Island with my wife earlier this summer. Had a great stay in Nanaimo at the Grand. The staff were extremely pleasant to deal with, and the food in the restaurant was wonderful, better than where we stayed in Victoria. If you have to stay in Naniamo this is a good choice. We stayed one night on our way to Tofino.
