The people who work in the facility are very nice but the hotel, frankly, is depressing. There are no views to speak of and the walls in the hallways are a dark green, carpet very old, and the appearance is shabby. It is not unclean, though. more

We stayed for one night. We had a very large kingsize room which was fine. As had to catch the ferry in the early morning we were pleasantly surprised that the included breakfast was served this early (4:00 am). more

Just to re-inforce the good reviews, stayed here last year and thought it was excellent. Very large room with very nice classy furniture and comfy beds. Sorry I can't be more enthusiastic, but this hotel wasn't too inspiring. I don't know if there are any better ones, but it might bear looking. The hallways were dark and depressing. The rooms were only okay. The restaurant was closed and the free breakfast was some sad looking muffins and coffee. We went to McDonald's. more

The bulk of guests seem to be either just off the ferry from Port Hardy, or waiting for the next ferry out of town. We arrived at about midnight, with half a dozen other car loads from the ferry. Like other reviewers, we also found the room to be clean and the staff to be helpful. While the hotel did not have great views, it was reasonably close to everything we needed: Cow Bay, other restaurants, and the train station (we were taking a trip on Canada Rail across BC). I had the pleasure of staying at the Pacific Inn in Prince Rupert BC. I was treated well and when we couldn't make ferry connections back to the Queen Charlotte Islands BC we had no problem rebooking our room. more
