Booked this accommodation online from the UK; received an email stating the agreeded rate and paid one night's deposit up front. However, when checked out were charged $100 a night more!! This place has aged...ungracefully. The whole place looks like it needs a face lift (i.e. paint and spring clean) and the actual 'spa' looks like a very amateur and unprofessional attempt. I took my mother to Salt Spring Island because she had never been before. The spa staff were friendly, the grounds are really lovely, spa very relaxing, and overall the experience was perfect. We wanted a couple days to escape Vancouver and we really enjoyed our time at the resort. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the island. more

The chalets themselves were nice, but as others have mentioned, older, rustic and not luxurious if that's what you're expecting. The chalets are semi-private, but not secluded. We spent a fantastic weekend here a few years ago. The little yurts are delightful, comfortable and private, the spa is wonderful, and Salt Spring Island is an absolute haven. I'd go back anytime. more

This place was just OK. When my girlfriend booked our weekend at the Salt Spring Resort, we were debating between it and two other more reasonably priced accomodations. The resort consists of individual chalets, most facing the ocean (just across a quiet, narrow roadway). My chalet had a separate sitting room (with wood burning stove), kitchen, bedroom, and a bathroom divided into two rooms - one for sink, flush and shower, and the other containing the double bath tub/jaccuzi which draws on mineral water. Beautiful ocean view and lovely cabins. The mineral bath tub (which is massive, you can easily fit 2 people in it) was revitalizing! The spa staff were very friendly as well. more
