We made the mistake of travelling to Tofino without arranging accommodations in advance. We went on a Bike Trip in August to Vancouver Island. It's a beautiful place to visit! BUT words of advice. If you go to Tofino (and you must!) make sure you have reservations ahead of time. It was not a very comfortable room. Cheap and the last room left in tofino was why we chose it even though at about $165 a night for a motel room like that is pushing it. At night we propped a chair against the door, all night there was a dog barking and we had to get our sheets changed.... more
