Though we have stayed in dozens of B and B's, we have never had an experience like this. A key in an envelope taped to the door greeted us, we never met the hosts in 3 days, 2 nights.(Though the reservationist on the phone was very pleasant!) Breakfast was served next door, in another B and B they own, because the kitchen in our house was under renovation and closed. It was all I could do to refrain from rearranging the furniture in our room, for convenience and to remove the badly stained upholstery, and shopworn bedding. The towels smelled of sour water. We did not check out, as soon as we realized our bad choice, because my research to find a place on our short notice had come up with this scant options in our price range of around $100 a night. I had wondered, quietly, why there were not more photos online as most B and B's are proud of their interior decor.
