Since I've never been to Vancouver before I wasn't very familiar with the city. After reading reviews of Moda, I thought perhaps I could overlook others saying it was noisy. What I forgot about was the possibility of the temperature rising while we were there. Moda does not have air conditioning. Our choice was either hear the constant construction (inescapable... more

The hotel was very accommodating - allowed us to store our luggage while we walked around Vancouver. The Front Desk Agent supplied us with Maps and plenty of information (Recommended the White Spot Restaurant. GREAT Recommendation!!). The rooms were very modern with accented red walls and modern beds to match. The bathroom was spotless! We booked a room with 2... more

great city atmosphere we stayed here 2 nights for our first visit to vancouver. overall, the hotel had wonderful modern decor and very helpful/friendly staff. the room was very clean but a bit noisy because we were facing the side of the street with construction. It was a bit stuffy/hot because there is no air conditioning but it did have... more

We stayed at the Moda Hotel for 4 nights in June. Our room was facing the street and was extremely noisy. The weekend was especially so and were woken up by people screaming, fire engines, police car sirens etc all night. The noise is the only real downside, the size of the room wasn't massive but was ok, the decor... more

Moda served as a great diversion from the generic feeling, chain hotels, and the price was much less as well. The hotel has a great boutique feel to it, and while the rooms are small, they were more than sufficient for my wife and I. The location is outstanding right in the middle of the commercial and shopping district. Many... more

Nice hotel in a central location. The rooms are a bit cramped but very clean. Staff was very nice and gave great recommendations for restaurants. I did not experience any problems with street noise. I would definitely stay here again. more

I ended up at the Moda because I struck out with my top 8 or so choices. The reviews were right: don’t come here with any more than two people because the rooms are small. The front desk told us that the type of room I booked (deluxe 2 queen) meant we’d be in the back of the building. That... more

I like to say in small Boutique Hotels in Europe so after reading the reviews I thought this might be a great place to stay. The price was excellent. The location was great and the reception staff was wonderful in getting taxis, directions for us, and even printed up our boarding passes for the airplane. Would stay here again and... more

We've just returned from our honeymoon cruise of Alaska's frontier which finished with two days in Vancouver Canada. We usually stay at B & B's and have met some wonderful hosts during our travels. However, I wanted to surprise my new husband with more modern accomodations and searched to stay as close to the attractions as possible. The motel was... more

So deciding to stay at the Moda was a very Hasty decision. I planned my trip very quickly and basically googled ' boutique hotels+ vancouver'. The Moda immediately stood out for me. The interior design was fantastic, and the history of the hotel sounded very unique. How did it live up to my expectations? The Place - The Hotel itself... more
