I happened to end up at this hotel because I was on my way to Whistler from Victoria and needed a night in Vancouver. Here is the skinny: LOCATION: Central in downtown Vancouver. Close to the waterfront, shopping, Japadog and the main thoroughfares. ROOM: Bigger and more spacious than average. The modern room, ambiance and furniture are a welcome. Indeed... more

We stayed at this Hyatt for a couple nights while we were on a road trip. Compared to other Hyatts I have stayed at, this one was very nice, modern and updated...they had just recently remodeled the hotel. Beautiful city views and very convenient location...we were able to walk to many different restaurants and retail stores. There was ample parking... more

We booked one night at the Vancouver Hyatt through priceline.com for $90 US (but I have a feeling you can get it for cheaper) and were pleasantly surprised by the nice, modern accommodations. The standard room was large, clean, recently renovated, and with nice amenities- large comfy bed, flat screen tv, neat shower. The hotel was centrally located in downtown,... more

Our three-night stay at the Hyatt came at a good value through Priceline. We're extremely happy with what we received for the price we paid: an absolutely lovely room and a hotel with unerringly helpful and friendly staff. First, the room. Maybe we've been staying in the wrong places, but the decor in the room we received was far more... more

The hotel is centrally located near all the shops and everything. It is even close to the bay. One of the staff was very rude when I asked him something and when I said I was going to complain about his bad attitude and walked away, I looked back and saw that he was glaring at me. We only had... more

Good things about the Hyatt: - underground parking - self check in counter - tour buses pick you up there Not so good things: - concierge was swamped - elevators take a while to get ( huge hotel ) - fitness center is tiny for a hotel of this size - pool was nasty. We took the Vancouver Trolley tour... more

Our family has had a great stay at the Hyatt Club Floor. From the moment we arrived to the minute we departed, the service was just so efficient and hospitable. The room was really really spacious, clean and new, even after adding a rollaway. We had free internet service and good spread of refreshment at the club room throughout the... more

Stayed here 1 night pre-cruise. We were upgraded to a suite upon check-in and I only wish I knew people in Vancouver, becasue I could have thrown an amazing party in that suite! Floor to ceiling windows overlooking the waterfront with 2 bathrooms and a wetbar. We had room service breakfast to take advantage of the view and almost did... more

We stayed 8 nights for a meeting, followed by some sightseeing. Given the opportunity, I would definitely go back and would refer the hotel to friends. Rooms: The rooms were gorgeous. We attend a technical meeting twice a year with the same group of people in various cities. However, this time people immediately started talking about how wonderful the rooms... more

Stayed 2 nights. The entire hotel was closed and remodeled in late 2008. It is a whole new hotel. Beautiful public and guest rooms. Modern design, great bed, friendly hotel staff. This is now my hotel in Vancouver. Great location. more
